GAS Revival

GasWorks History

GasWorks had two reviews printed in the Audio magazines during our time.  A Son of Ampzilla Rebuild and  the Sumo 9.  We also received a feature story on our unique business in The Idaho Statesman which was Idaho's Top newspaper distributed throughout the state.

There was a technical article on RFI/EMI interference published in the Sept/Oct issue of The Absolute Sound.  I find this article to be an interesting read now, especially since my knowledge of the topic has increased by an order of magnitude through real-world experience dealing with interference issues and their effects on nanometer resolution semiconductor production equipment.  Re-reading after so many years I find the overall context of the article to be essentially accurate.

The interesting part is that my conclusion at the time was that a systems susceptibility to RFI/EMI and it's effect on the sound is firmly affected by a designs layout and grounding.  Not bad for 1988

Still, cut me some slack regarding the subtleties of the article, many that are better understood today,  remembering that I was attempting to discuss the topic, and in layman's terms, over 20 years ago!
