A Bit of Background Information...

 

Mike Bettinger, our resident GAS and Sumo guru, assembled his first stereo at the age of ten, piecing together parts scavenged from a local second hand shop.  By age 17 he was working at a local stereo repair shop and building his own stereo equipment.

 

Mike is your textbook nerd engineer. Sometimes he’s completely normal; other times it’s like talking to an absent minded professor with the social awareness of a fence post.  He is most comfortable when digging into an amp or pre-amp and doing what he does best!  

More than 30 years of designing and supporting a wide variety of electronic equipment in both audio and in the semiconductor industry has provided a wealth of practical experience and a hands-on understanding of both the art and execution of audio reproduction.

 

Mike has a solid understanding of the real world application of engineering principles and a passion for the craftsmanship in the execution of the art of audio components, an approach that is rare in today’s world. The sonic results are like nothing you will purchase off the rack!
